Need for De-ionized water system
Tap water generally contains lot of ions from the soil and other sources like iron pipes. In a basic deionized water system water is de-ionized by using an ion exchange process. For many experiments done in chemical laboratories the presence of ion in the water used is not permitted. For conducting experiments on a farmer’s soil or on emissions from a factory to determine the toxic contents, the samples will have to be dissolved in water for testing. The presence of ions in water will make results totally wrong. Also water with lot of ions in it is electrically more conductive than water without ions.
